ICTS Research Award

Framework under development

The committee is developing an ICTS research award to recognize published work and encourage participation in the seminar series. The framework below records the current direction; final rules will be announced after committee approval.

Proposed categories

  • General Research Award
  • Young Researcher Award, with at least one award planned

Eligibility direction

  • Eligible work must have been published.
  • The first award cycle is expected to consider papers published during the two-year period beginning September 24, 2024; the final closing date will be announced.
  • An award recipient is expected to present the work or attend at least one ICTS online meeting.

Nomination and selection

  • ICTS members in each participating country will publicize the award and recommend eligible papers.
  • Two models are under review: one ICTS-wide award selected from each country's recommended paper, or one to three papers selected through country-level competition.
  • The final number of awards and nomination model remain subject to committee approval.
  • A presentation-based final selection format, including a possible 12-talk program, is also under review.

Proposed selection committee

  • International Advisors
  • Independent experts from outside ICTS
